Weather reports have moved the usual Wednesday race to Thursday! Let’s race!

It has not warmed up, and upon discussion with others, there will be no Fast Rabbit Thursday tonight.

Please look at the blog from a couple of days ago for revised schedule and I am looking forward to seeing as many of us as possible at the Jackrabbit Jamboree!

I’m now inside for the evening, having frozen my nose solid white while running the dog.  Haven’t done it that badly in over 30 years! Ouch

BUT Fast Rabbit Thursday is still on as they say it is warming back up.  Plan for classic skis as the snow will not be skate friendly.

Hi All,

Everything happens and is rescheduled in February!

Okay, the spin-drift has settled.
to update: Manitoba Champs and Riel Weekend this weekend so
no session Sunday Feb 16.

Sunday Feb. 23 is now the Jack Rabbit Jamboree! So, rabbits go to Windsor Park:

There is a small fee of $10, but it is a great show. This will make your skier go to bed early!
This is a major hi-light of the season for rabbits so we encourage all families to attend. Bottom line- no Assiniboine Park session as everyone seems to participate in this event.  All abilities have a great time! APJ coaches are there too,

This Thursday Night Fast Rabbits is still on, Wednesday Night racing cancelled due to cold air.

Way to go: Coach Yan and Don-Han for grinding out the Manitoba Loppet, Coach Katherine, Nastasja and Axelle for shooting out the Manitoba Biathlon Championships,

And remember the 37.25 km everybody skied on Sunday!

Hi Skiers,

Skiing Thursday at Windsor Park, 7:00 at the ski racks ready to go.  As the temperature and fresh snow may make for a sluggish skate ski, let’s get the classic skis out, and work on balance while gliding, and strong leg push and extension,

Cleaning up registration for tomorrow’s race

There is a huge mass of APJ skiers for tomorrow night! Super: anyone else: to sign up go to zone4.ca and look for Wednesday Night Race Series ( the link at CCSAM is a bit messed up right now), I will be there making sure that you have your number and find the start line,

Will be a great time skiing!

Fast Rabbit Thursday on at Windsor Nordic, on snow for 7:00: skate skis please!  We will be building on uphill work but with some training efforts this time.

Saturday race at Falcon, free technique, entries in by Thursday 9:00, please see attached link-   Falcon Combined race  or cut and paste https://www.ccsam.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Race-Notcie-Falcon-Combine-2020.pdf, Saturday is a free technique race and Sunday is Biathlon which some are racing in. Coaching is going out for Saturday for sure.

Sunday regular Jackrabbit day from the duck pond, be prepared for a ski adventure day: get ready to do some bush whacking river skiing! (parents included, bring cameras), The terrain is accessible to all members! And the weather will be awesome!

Snow! And lots of it!

We’re in the park, same usual place,  at 1:30 and if you have small shovels at home, bring those along as we may have to build some bumps & jumps!

Fast rabbits plan on classic skis, as the skate track will be soft and slow,
