A truly beautiful day for skiing at Falcon Lake today! Fast and fun and … and uneventful!
Not that the tubing was uneventful, at least for a few kids, unfortunately. So, we might want to be aware of concussion detection and treatment:
- For non-medical people, we are to refer to the Pocket Concussion Recognition Tool to determine if we should seek medical assistance.
- For medical people, they are to use Child- SCAT3, the “Sport Concussion Assessment Tool for children ages 5 to 12 years”.
- The above comes from the international “Consensus statement on concussion in sport: the 4th International Conference on Concussion in Sport held in Zurich, November 2012“.
